About Kibeho Tour Guides

We grew up on these hills. Today we guide pilgrims to the sanctuary, walk visitors through the history of Kibeho, and share the ordinary life of the town with anyone who wants to know it. We also organise tours across Rwanda, history and memorial visits, and investment field visits.

About Us

Kibeho Tour Guides was started by people from Kibeho with deep ties to the town. Visitors often travel a long way to get here, and we want them to be able to pray, learn and spend time in Kibeho without getting lost or rushed.

Our guides know the sanctuary, the story of the apparitions and what Kibeho went through in 1994. We explain each place simply, answer questions honestly, and introduce visitors to the people who live here. We are an independent guiding service and do not speak for the Catholic Church or the sanctuary.

Our promise: we agree the plan and the price before you travel, we tell you honestly what to expect, and we treat every sacred place and every person you meet with respect.

What We Offer

  • Tour support

Planning, timing, transport and honest local advice, from the moment you arrive until you leave.

  • Personalized tours

Plans shaped around you, whether you come to pray, to study, to take photographs or simply to see Kibeho.

  • Spiritual pilgrimages

The sanctuary, the Chapel of Apparitions, the spring and Sinai Hill, at a pace that leaves room for prayer.

  • Faith-based experiences

Mass, the Rosary and quiet retreat days, with a guide who can explain what Kibeho's message means to people here.

  • Historical learning

The history of the apparitions and of 1994 in Kibeho, told plainly and with care.

  • Community connection

Time with families, schools and markets, arranged so that visitors are welcome guests, not spectators.

  • Nature and hill walks

Walks over the hills around Kibeho, through farms and valleys. The air is fresh and the views are long.

  • Photography moments

Help finding good views of the sanctuary and the hills, and advice on when and whom it is right to photograph.

Everyday Local Experiences

Kibeho is more than its holy sites. These are ways to spend time with the people who live here, arranged with families and groups we know. What is possible depends on the season, so ask us.

Prayer & Reflection Moments

Farming Life

Spend a morning in the fields: planting or harvesting depending on the season, and feeding the animals afterwards.

Hill Walking & Nature

Fetching water, weaving, cooking and greeting neighbours: an ordinary day in a Rwandan village, shared with the family that hosts you.

Tourism With Purpose

We give 30% of our profits to local schools and community projects in Kibeho. When you travel with us, part of what you pay stays in the town you came to visit.

Why Choose Kibeho Tour Guides?

  • We live here: Our guides are from Kibeho and the hills around it. We know the place as neighbours, not only as guides.

  • Clear and reliable: We reply quickly, agree the price before you travel, and arrive on time.

  • Honest stories: We tell the history of Kibeho as it is, without adding to it or making it more dramatic.

  • Room to pray: On a pilgrimage, your prayer comes first. We handle the practical side and step back when you need quiet.
